A strong support system is vital for breastfeeding moms. Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, the largest birthing hospital in San Bernardino and Los Angeles Counties – and a Baby-Friendly hospital – is always available to help breastfeeding moms.
When you’re in the hospital with your newborn, support is provided to breastfeeding moms 24 hours a day from a lactation consultant or registered nurse. The Hospital also offers free breastfeeding support once you take your baby home. The Lactation Center provides mothers a place to go when they need help with breastfeeding; whether it is getting the baby to latch properly, worries about milk production, making sure baby is getting enough to eat and anything else in between. Our Associates can also assist with breast pump issues and rentals.
We welcome all breastfeeding moms at the Lactation Center who can benefit from our services. Even if you didn’t give birth at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, you can get free breastfeeding support from our team. We are committed to your breastfeeding success.
The Lactation Center is open:
- Mondays 9 am-12 pm
- Tuesdays 12 pm-3 pm
- Wednesdays 12 pm-3 pm
- Thursdays 9 am-12 pm; and
- Fridays 9 am-12 pm.
For more information or other breastfeeding questions, our Breastfeeding Information Line is available 24 hours a day at 909-623-6455.
