Subaru Loves to Care Program Partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® to Deliver Gifts of Hope to Cancer Patients at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center

As part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative, Subaru and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS) donated gifts and delivered messages of hope to cancer patients at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center’s (PVHMC) Robert and Beverly Lewis Family Cancer Care Center throughout the month of June.

In mid-June, Subaru Puente Hills staff and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society volunteers brightened the days of many PVHMC cancer patients and their families. Together they delivered 80 blankets and 50 patient care kits containing pencils, coloring books, stress balls and socks. Checks of $500 each were also given to five patients with families with young children. The “messages of hope” were completed by customers who visited the Puente Hills Subaru showroom during the month of June to show support to patients who are battling cancer.

“We are thankful to Subaru and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for their generosity in supporting our patients and their families by making today just a little bit brighter for them,” said Leigh Cornell, FACHE, Vice President of Administration at Pomona Valley Medical Hospital.

During the month of June, the Subaru Loves to Care initiative and its retailers aimed to provide warmth, love and support to patients facing cancer. Subaru is proud to have supported nearly 300,000 cancer patients across the country through this initiative.
