How to Apply to the Pharmacy Residency Program at PVHMC

Applying for a residency is a highly competitive process with a few spots available per academic year, therefore we encourage early applications. PVHMC participates in PhORCAS – Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service. All applicants must use PhORCAS to submit an application at https://portal.phorcas.org. Please visit the PhORCAS website to verify the availability of the application; if the PhORCAS application is currently closed, we encourage you to apply during the next admissions cycle. Please refer to the checklist below for the application process.

PVHMC also participates in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Resident Matching Program, administered by National Matching Services, Inc. Applicants must register for the Match before the applicants will be sent to PVHMC.

For PGY1 and PGY2 applicants, please submit the following items through the PhORCAS website by January 2nd, to complete the application process:

Curriculum Vitae
Three (3) letters of recommendation sent directly by the letter writer
A minimum of one letter should be from a clinical preceptor
Letter of intent
Official pharmacy school transcript
