Here at the award-winning Stead Heart and Vascular Center, we are proactively looking for new ways to increase awareness and education through our women's heart program. With the support of hospital administration, the heart center and other hospital service lines developed a women's heart program in 2003.
Stead Heart for Women™ offers information on risk factors, lifestyle modification, diet, and exercise, as well as support to women in our community. Supported by an expert team of physicians, nurses, and staff, the program has continuously grown since its inception. The mission of the program is to educate women and increase awareness of the dangers of heart disease and stroke. Our vision is to establish a foundation of heart and vascular disease prevention and management resulting in quality and longevity of life for women in the communities we serve.
The Stead Heart and Vascular Center offers one of the most complete lines of cardiovascular and stroke services for women in San Bernardino and Los Angeles Counties. In fact, we are among the highest overall rated programs in the two counties.
When our patients visit the Stead Heart and Vascular Center for Women, they have the comfort of knowing they are part of what is quickly becoming the top-rated, highest-volume comprehensive heart program in the Inland Empire and eastern Los Angeles area. The hospital and the heart center have been nationally recognized by the American Heart Association, HealthGrades, The Leapfrog Group, Solucient, Blue Shield, Press/Ganey, OSHPD, and JCAHO
At Stead Heart for Women, we know that heart disease manifests in women in a different way than in men. Our skilled team of cardiologists, nurses, and support personnel is dedicated to offering individualized care and treatment programs that specifically address the risk factors and symptoms that are unique to women's heart disease.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women in the United States. Understanding the risk factors for heart disease and taking proactive steps to prevent it are essential for maintaining heart health. Our program offers comprehensive risk assessment and prevention strategies tailored to each individual, including lifestyle modifications, dietary recommendations, and stress management techniques.
If heart disease is detected, our team will work closely with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan. From medication management to minimally invasive procedures and surgical interventions, we offer a comprehensive range of treatment options to meet the unique needs of women with heart disease. Our goal is to improve outcomes and enhance the quality of life for our patients.
