We are committed to the excellence and delivery of safe patient care. Our Comprehensive Stroke Center designation is evidence of this practice excellence. We are proud that our team of physicians and nurses collaborate to bring best practice, evidence-based care directly to our patients. This dedication is demonstrated in ZERO infection rates for patients undergoing ventriculostomy procedures. This procedure performed by neurosurgeons, involves the placement of a small catheter in the fluid-filled spaces in the brain, know as ventricles. The catheter allows for the drainage of cerebrospinal fluid and ultimately the reduction intra-cranial pressure.
In 2021 through 2022, our program had excellent outcomes, including 0% complication rate from Carotid stenting (CAS) And 0% Complications rate of carotid endarterectomy (CEA).
