Maternity Visitation

Promotion of our Family Centered Care philosophy while considering patient care, safety, comfort, security and infection control parameters is our priority. The birthing individual will determine who and when they want visitors, under the following guidelines:

  • LDRP Triage: one visitor is allowed to stay with the patient in triage.
  • A doula who can provide evidence of certification or training may also be part of the labor support team.
  • Patients in labor are allowed 24-hour visitation, limited to 2-3 visitors at a time.
  • One support person is allowed to stay overnight with the patient in the postpartum area.
  • Postpartum visiting hours are from 10 am to 8 pm.
  • Postpartum patients are allowed up to 3 visitors at a time (not including siblings).
  • Minors are limited to the patient's children and must be accompanied by an adult other than the patient at all times.
  • Visitation exceptions may be made based on medical necessity or special circumstances and must be approved by LDRP leadership.
