7-days-a-week facility offers 72 beds and the most highly trained staff
of doctors and nurses in Pomona, all of whom provide immediate care, precise
diagnoses, and
effective treatment. In addition, our Emergency Department (ED) is the
only facility in the area approved to offer pediatric care. We also provide
a provider on arrival, which means that the first person you will come
in contact within our emergency department is a board-certified emergency
medicine physician who will evaluate your condition for faster treatment.

We are a designated Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP). This designation means that we have equipment specially designed for pediatric patients, and all our staff are trained to meet the needs of children of all ages. We have physicians and nurses who are trained and nationally certified in both pediatric emergency medicine and advanced life support. Because children are different from adults, children have a different spectrum of diseases, and their smaller bodies require specialized medical procedures and equipment that take into account their size and stage of development. Pediatric advocates feel that children in need of medical care do better when taken care of by physicians and nurses who are trained to attend to both a child's physical and emotional needs.
