Located in the Rehabilitation Services Department on the first floor of PVHMC’s Robert and Beverly Lewis Outpatient Pavilion, our Wound Care Center (WCC) offers expert medical services and treatment for patients in the Pomona Valley and Inland Empire.

Why the Wound Care Center?

Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center provides personalized care and treatment to our wound care patients. We thoroughly evaluate your condition and implement a treatment plan based on your medical history and current condition. From the initial wound evaluation, to the follow-up treatment, to the patient and education, PVHMC provides the full continuum of care.

The goal of the WCC is to achieve wound healing by providing expert and affordable care and managing them as conveniently and comfortably as possible. Patients receive the highest level of medical services, continuity of care, multidisciplinary expertise and patient and family support.

We offer wide range of acceptable insurance plans and quick scheduling with referral and/or authorization. Easy and flexible appointments are available. Patient education for home treatment between visits is a priority to help foster successful outcomes.

Effective Treatment Techniques:

  • Compression pumping and multilayer compression wrapping
  • Assist with sizing and recommendation of appropriate compression garments
  • Orthotic shoe modifications / pressure relief padding
  • Total contact casts
  • Negative pressure wound therapy / vacuum-assisted closure (Wound VAC) expertise
  • Removal / debridement of non-viable tissue
  • Advanced topicals and dressings
  • Recommendations for surgical wound closure / skin flaps / grafting

Physician Leadership:

The WCC is led by board-certified vascular surgeon, Jerry Kim, MD. As the WCC Medical Director, Dr. Kim serves as a valuable resource to our center. Through his experience and expertise, the WCC is able to identify and refer difficult cases to other advanced wound care specialists when needed.

Appointments:
